Inclusive Dance StyleS
Afro Caribbean

In class, students learn a variety of steps and techniques that highlight body isolation, hip and torso movements, and footwork, while exploring the rich cultural expressions of dance from the Afro-Caribbean diaspora. Afro Modern
Blends traditional African dance with contemporary movement styles, creating a dynamic and expressive dance experience. In this class, students explore powerful rhythms, grounded footwork, and fluid, creative body movements, while drawing from both African cultural traditions and modern dance techniques. Afro Modern emphasizes freedom of expression, strength, and connection to music, helping dancers build coordination, flexibility, and confidence. Ballet
A classical dance form known for its graceful, precise movements and emphasis on technique, balance, and fluidity. Ballroom

Bhangra
An upbeat and energetic folk dance originating from Punjab, India. In this class, students learn the lively, rhythmic movements of Bhangra, including strong footwork, shoulder shakes, and expressive arm gestures, all set to vibrant, fast-paced music. With its roots in harvest celebrations, Bhangra is a fun and invigorating dance that encourages expression, teamwork, and high-energy performance, while connecting students to the rich cultural traditions of the Punjabi community.
Bollywood
An energetic and vibrant dance style inspired by the music and choreography of Indian films. In this class, students learn expressive movements, including hand gestures (mudras), hip and shoulder isolations, and lively footwork, set to upbeat Bollywood music. The style combines traditional Indian dance with modern, fusion elements, encouraging creativity, rhythm, and storytelling. Bollywood Dance is a fun, high-energy class that celebrates music, culture, and dance while building strength, flexibility, and confidence.
Contemporary
A dynamic and expressive dance style that blends elements of modern, jazz, and ballet. In this class, students explore fluid movements, improvisation, and emotional expression, focusing on technique, body awareness, and creativity. Contemporary dance encourages individual style while emphasizing freedom of movement, balance, and control. Students will learn how to connect mind and body, express stories or emotions through dance, and develop versatility in their movement.
Country Line Dance
A fun, social dance style set to country music, where dancers learn a series of steps in unison, often in straight lines or formations. In this class, students learn a variety of choreographed routines, focusing on rhythm, footwork, and coordination, while enjoying the upbeat, country music that accompanies each dance. It’s an inclusive and easy-to-learn style that encourages group participation, making it a great way to stay active and have fun with friends!
Dance Hall
Dancehall is a fun rhythmic cultural style of music and dance that derives from Kingston Jamaica. Most of the moves are very specific as the dance style was founded by a local Jamaican known as Bogle. The style is powerful, charismatic yet is also smooth and flows in a way no other style does.
Dance It Out Adaptive Fitness
Dance It Out (DIO) Adaptive was created by Billy Blanks Jr and adapted by Michele Jones. DIO Adaptive is an inclusive dance fitness class that will get you moving. Come exercise and have fun while dancing to over 20 styles of dance from around the world. Whether you are a walker (able-bodied) or a roller (using a wheelchair) our DIO Adaptive Program offers dance fitness for all levels of mobility, all ages and all levels of experience.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop dance is a variety of street dance styles brought up through urban culture. Hip Hop Dance is a style of dance with deep historical and social roots in African culture. It’s a part of a whole culture of Hip Hop, which started in the 1970’s in the Bronx, New York.
Improv Dance
Improv dance is all about self-expression and spontaneity, allowing dancers to explore movement without set choreography. In this class, students are encouraged to listen to their bodies, trust their instincts, and experiment with different styles and emotions. Through guided exercises and freedom of movement, dancers develop creativity, body awareness, and the ability to respond to music and space in the moment. Improv dance fosters individuality and creativity while helping students build confidence and connection to their own unique movement style.
Jazz
An energetic and dynamic style that combines strong, sharp movements with fluid, expressive lines. In this class, students learn a variety of jazz techniques, set to upbeat, rhythmic music. Jazz dance encourages creativity and personal style while focusing on developing coordination, flexibility, and strength. With its roots in both African dance and Broadway, jazz offers a fun, fast-paced way to improve technical skills and performance ability.
Jazz Funk
A high-energy dance style that blends jazz, hip-hop, and funk influences, creating an expressive and powerful movement experience. In this class, students learn bold, stylized choreography that incorporates strong, sharp movements, grooves, and funky rhythms. Latin Fusion
A dynamic dance style that blends elements of traditional Latin dances, like salsa, bachata, and reggaeton, with contemporary and urban dance moves. Samba

Whacking
An expressive, high-energy dance style that combines rapid arm movements, poses, and exaggerated gestures, set to funky, upbeat music. In this class, students learn the fundamentals of whacking, including arm rotations, poses, and dramatic movements inspired by disco and funk culture. Zumba Dance Fitness
A fun, high-energy workout that combines dance moves with upbeat music from around the world, including salsa, merengue, and reggaeton.
